Review: The Crimson Moth, Kristen Ciccarelli.

My gorgeous colleague and good friend, Ellie, recommended this book to me and I really enjoyed it. I love anything witchy and this was the first witch and witch hunter book I’ve read.

What to expect: witches, witch hunters, magic reliant on blood, heroine vigilante, cat and mouse theme, outlawed magic, brother’s best friend, high stakes, forbidden desires, lots of tension, secret identity, enemies to lovers, a sort of love triangle, lies and betrayal, plot twists and a cliff-hanger.

What a fun read! This book definitely had me in the beginning and hooked me throughout but if I’m honest, I was slightly disappointed by the ending. However, there is a sequel that I will definitely be reading. I do love Rune as a protagonist and really enjoyed following her journey, I can’t wait to read the next book.

The mild love triangle had me stressed out, oh my goodness. I was switching between the two boys every time they did something I liked and I still don’t know who I prefer. All in all, if you’re a lover of the tropes I’ve mentioned above, definitely give this a read.
